Mimi Cocquyt is an award-winning director, producer, and screenwriter. Her first wins were at the Ronald Reagan Library Film Festival for JFK and the Media (2017) and FDR: Day of Infamy (2018). She wrote, directed, and produced the successful web series, The Trials of Andromache (2017 – 2018) as well as garnered attention on the film festival circuit for her short film, Breakfast For Two(2018). Her first feature film, Young Gods (2019) won Best Period Film at the Anaheim Film Festival 2019. She has worked as an on-set horse wrangler and stunt rider for Horses For Productions, won international titles as a ballroom dancer with Arthur Murray, and was a champion junior equestrian in her showjumping years.
Now, she is the owner and publisher at Blank Cover Press, a Charlotte-based independent book publisher dedicated to showcasing the voices and talents of indie artists and winner of six international book awards in 2022. Her most recent screenplay, Love & Heroin, co-written with novelist Luc Midnight, was a Quarter-Finalist in the 2022 TITAN Screenwriting Contest.
